Promoting Healing and Regeneration

Modern dentistry and medical practices are dedicated to developing cutting-edge methods to promote healing and tissue regeneration. One of the best methods in this field is Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), a bioactive surgical adjuvant that has transformed wound healing and tissue restoration.

Our specialists at Plano Top Dental now offer this innovative treatment crucial to tissue regeneration. It provides patients a safe, all-natural way to speed up their recovery from various dental surgeries.

The Science Behind PRF

The PRF contains concentrated platelets, growth factors, and cytokines that accelerate tissue regeneration and wound healing processes following dental surgeries.

What is Fibrin Rich in Platelets?

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is an innovative and natural biomaterial used in dental surgery that leverages the body’s own healing mechanisms to enhance recovery and improve surgical outcomes. Prepared from the patient’s own blood without any chemical additives, PRF is rich in growth factors and provides several key benefits in dental procedures. The benefits include enhancing healing, reducing the risk of infection, and minimizing post-op swelling & discomfort.

How is PRF Prepared?

The patient’s blood sample is drawn and centrifuged as part of the simple PRF preparation procedure. After being meticulously gathered, the PRF clot can be employed immediately or developed into a membrane for various therapeutic uses.

The PRF is a wholly natural product because this procedure is carried out without any chemical additions to the patient’s own blood.
